The Legacy of Kain - Part 1: Blood Omen

Based on the story frame of PS1 classic Blood Omen : Legacy of Kain. A story about Kain, being manipulated by powers that be, known as Pillar guardians of Nosgoth. Kain transforms from a noble heart warrior into a ruthless conqueror.

Chapter 1 : Death & Rebirth

Kain wakes up, blurred, realise that he's chained in the cross. Pain and tear himself out of it. Mortanius the necromancer, explains the death, and offered him a chance for revenge. In anger Kain accepted. Few days later Kain wakes up in a coffin, buried inside the tomb of his family. after a short reminiscence of his own past, Kain pursue to seek those who assassinate him. Succeeded, Kain finds himself alive but not without flaws. He's a vampire now, and water and direct sun are now poisonous he left his family and adapted to a new life. Every day he rests in the nearby cave, by nightfall he wandered Nosgoth looking for criminal's blood. Slowly realize that wasn't the life he has wish to Kain met The Oracle, a hooded magician whom many regards him as a prophet of Elder God. Oracle instruct Kain that the real culprit behind his death was actually by one of the pillar guardian. He must protect Nosgoth from the corruption of human Pillar Guardians.

Chapter 2 : Quest for Nosgoth

Kain travels to the pillar, there he found a spirit wandering around the pillar. She was Ariel the former Guardian of Balance. Ariel explains there are 9 pillar guardians of Nosgoth. Each pillar represents the harmony of the land. Nature, Planes, Balance, and Life among others. Once the pillar of Nosgoth was guarded by angelic immortals many centuries ago. A plague was later releases by Hash ak Gik render them the thirst for blood. Feeling disgraced, the immortals now known as vampire live far away from human. From then, the guardianship passes to humans. each human selected at birth will guard the respective pillar until death and another will rise to take over.

Ariel tells Kain, the ones responsible for her death also orchestrated his. Her death has driven Nupraptor into madness, thus he cast madness into most of the pillar guardians. The corruptions of the current pillar guardians has decaying the world. And so Kain embarks the journey to eliminate every guardians.

Kain met Vorador in city of Arvenus. An elder vampire who predates the creation of pillar. Vorador guide Kain and teaches him vampire gifts, which would later be put to use in his quest. He kill Azimuth the guardian and claims the legendary sword,Soul Reaver. He found an old Time Streaming Device hidden beneath the catacombs not far away from Vorador's mansion.

During his purges, Kain was caught in the middle of fight between the soldiers of Nemesis. Nemesis troops captured Coorhagen and killed all the nobles, including Kain's family. Enraged, Kain delay his quest and seek King Ottmar of Willendorf, a city near Nosgoth. Winning the king's trust by rescuing his daughter from the clutches of the Dollmaker. The King offered Kain 10 legions of his best troops to go against Nemesis. However, the forces of Nemesis is unbeatable and Kain lost the battle.

Desperate to win back Kain travels to Arvenus for the Time Streamer. Kain transport himself 50 year into the past, and decided to end Nemesis before his world dominating hunger begin. The young King William the Just, who later become Nemesis was caught off guard. Kain kills him with Soul Reaver. His feeding of William's blood was witnessed by several palace guards.

Chapter 3 : Oracle's deception and Vampire's extinction

Kain travels back to present day, realise that he has change the history, killing the good King Williams triggers the vampire purge. The vampire purge is led by non other than Moebius, the man disguised as The Oracle. Kain witnessed Moebius beheading Vorador, and mark him as the last remains of vampire species.

Kain learns that Moebius is using him all along to exterminate the vampire species. By killing William the whole royal servant pledges their allegiance to Moebius, and empowered him to start a genocide war against the vampire. Barely escaped, Kain uses his skill to lure Moebius into a trap and kills him in the process.

Chapter 4 : The truth

Feeling betrayed and used, just when he's done with the pillar guardian extermination, Kain overheard the argument between Anarcrothe and Mortanius. It was Mortanius who plan all these, the killing of Ariel, kidnapping of Kain and trick him into believing he was dead, and poisoned him to become a vampire. Kain kill Anarcrothe and readily to face off Mortanius. Mortanius reveals himself as Dark Entity Hash Ak Gik, a Hylden who is responsible in creating vampire curse to the immortals. After a few battles, Kain manages to stab him and releases the Dark Entity, killing Mortanius. Before his death, he whispered to Kain, that he is not the last Guardian, there is one more, that he is the last Balance Pillar guardian, Ariel is using him to cleanse the pillar corruption only to have him sacrifice for new generation guardian of nines reborn and retake the post.

Chapter 5 : Beginning of the end

Kain arrives at the pillar, Ariel calmly ask Kain "Will you sacrifice yourself to save Nosgoth?"
Realizing humans has use him to destroy vampires, and his contempt of humanity....
Kain replied "To hell with it" using his Soul Reaver, he struck down the pillar of balance and the rest of the 8 pillars collapse. With his new found power, Kain decided to rebuild the vampire race and rule Nosgoth with it.

Kain wakes up in a coffin, found out he's a vampire, Mortanius directs him to the assailant, Ariel explain the corruption of the pillar, ask Kain for help. Kain lead thousands of armies into the battle with Nemesis. Kain activates the time streamer switch... fade out.... boom! Kain escapes from the Sarafan warriors, Vorador being parade into execution ground... Kain found the Soul Reaver sword. trailer ends with Kain said "to hell with it" and the pillar collapse.
